      Avalanche course in Arosa Lenzerheide

      Get fit for the winter and leave your tracks safely off the slopes! Downhill runs and tours outside secured slopes inscreasingly fascinate skiers and snowboarders. For a secure powder fun, it is necessary to know the elementary basic knowledge and precautions in the area. No matter if you are a beginner or an independent tourer, in our courses you will find the right training points for each level; be it in dealing with search devices, probe and shovel skills, the interpretation of avalanche bulletins or a complete planning.

      Main goal: Correct off-road behavior and command of the avalanche transceiver, proper probe and shovel skills are essential. This course is intended for those who want to move safely off the slopes in the future. After a theoretical introduction to the basic knowledge, we implement what we have learned in the field. Avalanche prevention is the main goal.

      • Freerideskis with skins or Splitboard / Snowboard and snow shoes
      • ev. ABS-backpack
      • Avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel

      9am at the cable car station Rothorn, Lenzerheide
      Getting there
      Parking:
      Parking slot next to the mountain railway Rothornbahn.
      Public transport:
      The rothorn cable car can easily be reached from Chur by postbus. The stop is called "Lenzerheide/Lai Rothornbahn". The arrival by public transport (postbus Chur-Lenzerheide-Tiefencastel) is included in the ski ticket. If you book a ski pass, you can get the ticket refunded at the valley station of the Rothorn cable car as soon as you have received the ski pass from us.
